  • Growing basil from seeds is a rewarding and straightforward process that allows you to cultivate this aromatic herb at home

  • Place the tray in a warm location with plenty of sunlight, as basil thrives in full sun
  • Keep the soil consistently moist, but be cautious not to overwater, as basil prefers slightly drier conditions
  • Germination typically occurs within 5‐10 days
  • Once the seedlings have developed their first set of true leaves, transplant them into larger pots or directly into the garden, spacing them about 6‐12 inches apart
  • Basil prefers well‐drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH
