When used with the Foundation Physics Universal Stand, this Loop Track enables students to investigate how a roller coaster car can stay on the track when it travels in a large, circular loop
This uses a straight, 80 cm long portion of the track with a marble to investigate acceleration
The circular portion lets students experimentally determine the minimum velocity the marble needs to make one full trip around the loop
A photogate system (not supplied) can be incorporated to take speed and acceleration measurements
