Description
Specifications
  • This apparatus allows the demonstration of the dramatic differences in radiated heat from various surfaces
  • Being electrically heated it is more convenient than some of the more conventional methods involving water or Bunsen flames
  • The apparatus contains a single aluminium plate divided into 3 different regions: a matt black section, a polished aluminium section and a roughened aluminium section
  • The plate is heated using a resistive element, ensuring that each section is at the same temperature
  • Readings of each surface may then be taken using an infra‐red thermometer (not supplied)
  • Connection to power supply is via 4mm sockets
  • The plate requires an adjustable 12V D
  • C
  • power supply capable of providing 1A continuously (B8R08174 or similar)
  • Target Temperature: 75¼C
  • Time to Reach Target Temperature: approx.10 minutes
