Power supply for use by students in advanced courses where an accurately monitored voltage or current may be required
The output voltage is selected by a rotary switch on the front of the unit, output is up to a maximum of 25V
It provides 0 ‐ 25V ac or smoothed dc adjusted by the rotary control at a maximum current of 8A
The ac and dc outputs may be used simultaneously, provided the combined output does not exceed 8A
The illuminated digital display has two associated membrane switches with LED indicators
User can choose to display current (I) or voltage (V), for either the ac or dc output of the unit
The internal, quiet‐running fan will hardly be noticed but it reduces the already low thermal stress in the unit still further, ensuring long life of the instrument
Triple protection is provided by a resettable electronic overload trip, thermal transformer trip and slow‐blow fuse on the primary
Overloads are indicated by the LED changing from green to red
The mains cord is kept tidy, by means of the cable retainer on the back of the unit which allows the cable to be stowed away neatly with the use of winding hooks and a clip to secure the cable
